Job Overview
The Global Operations Corporate Facilities business unit is seeking to fulfill a Construction Management intern position to support Facilities Construction Management team.Interns will be responsible for supporting the Construction Management team with their day-to-day activities, learning the engineering process, project management, and develop design skills.In addition to the activities just listed, interns will also have the responsibility to manage and drive small construction projects.The projects will require the use of skills learned throughout the summer and provide meaningful benefit to the project customers.Interns will also be expected to document their results and provide a summary presentation to the Corporate Facilities team at the end of the internship.
Responsibilities
Assist with construction estimates with the Construction Team.
Assist with preparing meeting minutes, agendas, printing documents for reviewing.
Inspect workmanship of completed installation including punch list items.
Understanding of construction safety practices, OSHA regulations, federal, State, and local
requirements. Ensure that all contractors are compliant with TE contractor safety program.
Youre the kind of person we are looking for if you:
Have Received a High School Diploma or GED
Are currently enrolled in a program or pursuing a BA/BS Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university or have equivalent work history. (In certain circumstances, students who are taking a gap year will be considered.)
Have previous internship or large project experience is preferred
Are authorized to work in the U.S.
