Title:

KBR is seeking a Mid-Level Physicist to join our team in Kihei, HI.

Responsibilities:

• Develops technology and solve problems in areas such as image reconstruction, adaptive optics, lasers, imaging through turbulence.

• Plans and conducts scientific experiments and studies to test system performance.

• Performs mathematical calculations to analyze sensor data.

• Develops computer software to analyze and model data.

• Supports experiments and testing of novel Space Domain Awareness capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. in STEM or related field

• Minimum of 8 years' experience in imaging system design, operation, maintenance and control of adaptive optics and wavefront sensing systems,

• Demonstrated experience in design, assembly, troubleshooting and maintenance of optical and laser systems

• Broad background in physical sciences

• Familiarity with the USAF and US Space Force space control/space domain awareness mission area

• Masters degree in electrical optics or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• PhD in electrical optics or related field
