Location: Hickory, NC
Job Duties
- Provide for the safety of all persons on campus property.
- Ensure security of campus buildings.
- Enforce campus rules, regulations and policies as set forth by university administration.
- Properly investigate and report all crimes and incidents.
- Maintain liaison with area law enforcement.
- Participate in providing crime prevention programs to the students, faculty and staff.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs or more.
- Ability to walk long distances across campus.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- High school diploma.
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license.
- No criminal record.
- Law enforcement experience or BLET a plus, but not required.
Reporting
- Reports to the Director of Public Safety.
- Hourly, non-exempt, part-time position.
